Mahmoud Mekki

Mahmoud Mohamed Mahmoud Makki (Arabic: محمود محمود محمد مكي, DMG Mahmud Mahmud Muhammad Makki; * 1954 ) is, since August 12, 2012 Vice president of Egypt; he was appointed by the Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi.

The independent Sunni Muslim is also the brother of the Minister of Justice in the government of Hescham Kandil. Makki had done in his judicial office along with Hisham Bastawisi as a critic of the system of 2011 deposed President Hosni Mubarak, long-term and his Justice Minister Mahmoud Abul Leil a name.

From January 29 2011 to February 11, 2011, the office of Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman held after the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was forced under the pressure of public protests to appoint a vice-president for the first time since he took office.
