The cave Majlis al - jinn (Arabic كهف مجلس الجن, DMG maǧlis Kahf al - ǧinn, assembly of the jinn cave '), also Majlis al -Jin, or " Seating of the Spirits" is located on the Arabian Peninsula, the Sultanate of Oman.

It is located in the eastern part of the Al Hajar Mountains, on the Salmah Plateau in Umq, approximately 1,366 m above sea level and is equipped with 58,000 m², the ninth largest known cave chamber of the earth.

It is 310 meters long and 225 meters wide. The height from the floor to the dome-shaped ceiling measures 120 meters. Despite its size, the cave from the outside is difficult to discover. Everything points to a cave, there are three openings that seem insignificant for the visitor.

The cave Majlis al - jinn is located on the northern border of Salma plateau near the village of Fins in Quriat district in the administrative district of Muscat. It is located on the road leading to the village of Tiwi Fins in the Al Sharqiyah region combines and was accidentally discovered when they looked for Carboniferous rocks to explore deep underground water supplies. The first, which descended into the cave, was Don Davidson, one of the geologists commissioned in 1983. He rose through the cave opening that leads to a depth of 120 meters and the smallest of the three openings applies. 1984 his wife Cheryl Jones rose through the deepest hole in the cave whose depth reaches 158 m. 1985 Don Jones walked into the cave through the third port.

The scientific exploration of the cave is made by a team of Chapman University in Orange, California, the research in the United States in the Carlsberg Cavern. To drive through the cave is currently cavers reserved with appropriate equipment. At a tourist development of the cave, which is located only about 10 kilometers from the coastal highway, the Omani tourism industry is interested.
