GNU Make ( gmake short ) is the GNU implementation of make frequently used in the UNIX world program. Compared with the traditional functions it contains a number of extensions. GNU make is not fully compatible to make, because the backslash is not treated POSIX compliant and since the shell calls are made without the '- e' option breaks GNU make further processing is not always expected to leave after failing command calling from.
