Małgorzata Sobańska

Małgorzata Sobańska ( born April 25, 1969 in Poznań ) is a Polish long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon.

In a marathon, the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995, she finished fourth. Earlier this year, she had already won the London Marathon. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, she was eleventh. In 1998, she won the Cologne Marathon, and she was third in the Nagano and Fourth at the Berlin Marathon in 1999. In 2001, she was second in the Boston Marathon and placed as fourth in the Chicago Marathon with 2:26:08 the current Polish record. At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she finished in 17th place. In 2005, she was second in the Hamburg Marathon, 2006 she won the Vancouver and the Toronto Waterfront Marathon.

In 2007, she finished each ranked second in the Prague Marathon, the Toronto Waterfront Marathon and the Istanbul Marathon.

In 2008 she improved the Warsaw Marathon course record in 2:31:20.
