A case for Professor Chase ( orig. Manimal ) is an American television series from the year 1983. It comprises eight episodes (including the pilot episode). German Original Air Date was November 4, 1990 to SAT.1.

Content

Main theme of the series is the ability of the main character Prof. Jonathan Chase, to be able to transform into animals. He is a university professor and special advisor to the New York Police Department. At his side the charming Detective Brooke McKenzie ( Melody Anderson) and his friend Tyrone C. Earl (Michael D. Roberts).

The ability to transform himself into an animal, Chase has inherited from his father. " His fate led him to the remotest corners of Africa and on the pristine peaks of the Himalayas ," it says in the opening credits of the series. "His father left him a devastating legacy. He has the ability to cross the border that separates man from the animal and the animal from the people. "Over the consequences Chase uses this ability again and again.
