Mansfeld (electoral district)

The federal electoral district of Mansfeld ( Constituency 74) is an electoral district, in Saxony -Anhalt. Until the 2005 federal election he was called Mansfeld. It comprises the district of Mansfeld - South Harz and the Saalekreis the communities of Bad Lauchstaedt, Merseburg, Mücheln ( Geisel ), cross- ford, Salzatal, Teutschenthal and Wettin - Löbejün and the municipality Weida -Land.

In the federal election 2013 217.783 inhabitants were eligible to vote; the voter turnout was 61.1 %. Uda Heller won the direct mandate for the CDU.

2009 federal election

In the federal election 2009 232.086 inhabitants were eligible to vote; the voter turnout was 59.0 %. Harald Koch won the direct mandate for the Left. Silvia Schmidt ( SPD) took over the national list their party also included in the Bundestag.

History

The constituency 75 Mansfeld was in the constituency reform of 2002 from the previous constituency 295 Eisleben - out Sangerhausen, which included the former counties Eisleben, Hettstedt and Sangerhausen - Hettstedt.
