Manuchar Markoishvili
Manutschar Markoischwili (Georgian მანუჩარ მარკოიშვილი; born November 17, 1986 in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR) is a Georgian professional basketball player. Markoischwili made his debut as a teenager in the highest Georgian league and moved at age 16 to Italy. After the Central German BC from Weissenfels the FIBA EuroCup Challenge 2004 won, he spent three seasons on the Slovenian club KK Union Olimpija tip. After two seasons in the Ukraine for BK Kyiv in 2009 he returned to Italy and since then plays for the traditional club from Cantù from Lombardy. In 2011 he was qualified with the Georgian national team for the European Championship finals in 2011 in Lithuania, where they reached the second round of the twelve best teams.
Markoischwili made his debut as a teenager for Basco Batumi in the Georgian highest league and has been engaged after strong performances at the U16 European Championship in 2001 and the Georgian Cup 2002 from Europe's top club Benetton Treviso. As a complement player, he was also used in the highest European League ULEB Euro League 2002/ 03, in which he reached with Benetton Treviso, the final, where he got 15 minutes operating time as 16 -year-old, but that went against FC Barcelona lost.
