Marco Schmidt

Marco Schmidt ( born September 5, 1983 in Pforzheim ) is a German track and field athlete.

Marco Schmidt was in February 2009, German Vice Champion in the shot put in the hall and thus qualified for the European Indoor Championships 2009 in Turin. There he was eliminated in the qualifying. At the European Indoor Championships in 2011 Schmidt finished with 20.29 m for fifth place. In the outdoor European Championships 2012, he also reached the final battle and finished with 19,65 m eighth. 2013 Schmidt was seventh at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg.

Marco Schmidt is next to his success in athletics and world record holder in stone shock decathlon and three-time German champion in the 50 -kilogram stone thrusting.

Marco Schmidt starts for VfL Sindelfingen. His current best performance is consistent with the 7.26 kg ball at 20.51 m (28th May 2011, Neubrandenburg ). After high school he trained as a social security employees, since 2009, he works at the IKK classic in Stuttgart.
