Marcus Krüger

Marcus Kruger (born 27 May 1990 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since June 2010 for the Chicago Black Hawks in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Kruger played in the junior age by 2003 in Huddinge IK. As a 13 -year-old, he joined the junior section of Hammarby IF, with the U16 junior he won the national championship in the 2004/05 season. After three years at Hammarby, he left the club and was hired by Djurgårdens IF on. There he went through the U18 and U20 Juniors, before he made ​​his debut in the Elitserien during the 2008/ 09 season. Before the start of season 2009/10 Kruger was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the fifth round at 149 instead of the Chicago Blackhawks. The Swede spent his first full season in the seniors still at Djurgården, with whom he won the vice-championship. In June 2010, the Blackhawks took him under contract, but loaned him out immediately to Djurgården. After completion of the 2010/11 season in the Elitserien Chicago ordered the strikers to North America. There he came in the remainder of the regular season and playoffs first missions in the National Hockey League. The following season, he could become sustainable in the NHL squad and completed his rookie season in 71 games.

In the 2012/13 season Kruger won with the Chicago Blackhawks the Stanley Cup.

Internationally

At the international level Kruger represented his country at the Under-20 Junior World Cup in 2010. To winning the bronze medal he drove in six games with six assists. A year later he was part of the Swedish squad at the World Championship 2011 in Slovakia. At the 2014 Winter Olympics he won the silver medal with the Swedish national team.
