Margaret Mazzantini

Margaret Mazzantini ( born October 27, 1961 in Dublin) is an Italian actress and writer.

Life and work

Margaret Mazzantini is the daughter of writer Carlo Mazzantini and the Irish painter Anne Donnelly. She grew up in Ireland and Tuscany. As an actress, she is involved in theater, film and television productions. More attention has, however, gained through their novel publications. So managed her first novel Il catino di zinco ( Eng.: The zinc bath) 1994 the finalists of the Premio Campiello; and Non ti muovere (English: Do not go away ), which was filmed by her husband Sergio Castellitto in 2004, won the 2002 Premio Strega.
