Margaret Wheeler, Baroness Wheeler

Margaret Eileen Joyce Wheeler, Baroness Wheeler of Blackfriars in the City of London, MBE) ( born March 25, 1949) is a British politician and same official of the Labour Party since 2010 and member of the House of Lords.

Life

Margaret Wheeler worked as same official and engaged further in various public institutions and organizations, such as a member of the Commission for Social Justice (Commission on Social Justice ) and the Commission for Employment and Skills (Commission for Employment and Skills ). In addition, she was also active for the non-profit Foundation The Work Foundation. Most recently, she was Director of Organization and Employee Development of UNISON, the union of public sector employees and by Unite the Union at 1.375 million members, the UK's second largest single union.

She was raised by a Letters Patent as Life Peeress titled Baroness Wheeler of Blackfriars in the City of London to the peerage on 20 June 2010. On 14 July 2010 their introduction ( Introduction) followed as a member of the House of Lords. Since then, she is also parliamentary secretary of the opposition Labour Group in the House of Lords. On 5 October 2010 she held her first speech to the House of Lords.

In addition to her political activities, she is a trustee of One World Action, Carer Support and Blackfriars Settlement and acts there as chairman.
