Geography

Maria Anzbach located in the southeast quarter of Most Neulengbach in the valley of Anzbaches, a tributary of the Great Tulln. The area of ​​the municipality covers 18.19 square kilometers. 36.31 percent of the area is forested.

History

On April 29, 998 Mary Anzbach was first mentioned in documents as Amizinesbach. In ancient times, the area was part of the province of Noricum. In the core Austrian state of Lower Austria lying the place told the eventful history of Austria.

Population Development

According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 2621 inhabitants. In 1991, the market town of 2562 inhabitants, 1981 and 2151 in 1971, 1808 inhabitants.

  • Sanctuary and Chapel Martini: In the basement of the chapel are the remains of the former cemetery.
