Mariano Martín

Mariano Martín Alonso ( born October 20, 1919 in Dueñas, Castile - León, Spain, † September 19, 1998 in Barcelona) was a Spanish football player.

He was one of the best strikers in the history of FC Barcelona, for whom he played from 1940 to 1948. In that time he scored more than one goal per game, a total of 188 goals in 167 games. It is equipped with 124 official matches gates of the fifth- most successful shooter of all time in Barça and in the season 1942/43, with 30 hits and also the first player to Barcelona, the scorer in La Liga in 23 games.

Its very lively appearance in front of goal in February 1944 led to a serious knee injury, which he was able to recover, but later never recovered his form again before the injury. At the end of his professional career, he played from 1948 to 1950 at Gimnàstic de Tarragona and 1950-1951 at UE Sant Andreu.
