Marina Erakovic

Marina Eraković ( born March 6, 1988 in Split, Yugoslavia) is a New Zealand tennis player of Croatian origin.

Career

At the age of six years Eraković began playing tennis. She prefers to play on hard courts.

In September 2004, she won the doubles final of the U.S. Open with Michaëlla Krajicek in the Junior Women. In January 2005 she won at the side of Wiktoryja also Azarenka at the Australian Open doubles title of the juniors.

Your best result in the individual competition at a Grand Slam tournament dates back to 2008, when she moved into the third round at Wimbledon and Tamarine Tanasugarn defeated there. In 2011 she reached together with the Thai woman at the same place the semi-finals of the doubles competition, which lost two against Sabine Lisicki and Samantha Stosur in three sets.
