Marine Harvest

Marine Harvest ASA (formerly Pan Fish ASA) is a Norwegian food company with headquarters in Oslo and the largest farmed salmon company in the world. The company is listed on the OBX index, and was formed in 2006 from the merger of Pan Fish ASA with Marine Harvest NV and Fjord Seafood. On 6 February 2007, Pan Fish ASA called for in Marine Harvest ASA.

Company History

Pan Fish was founded in 1992. Company goal is to acquire as many fish farms worldwide. Since 1997, Pan Fish is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. In early 2000, the company due to low prices in the fish market financial difficulties and sold parts of their business.
