Career

In the club

Eggimann began playing football at age five in the youth of the FC Kuettigen. In 1989, in the youth department of FC Aarau. When his youth coach was coach of the first team, he was pulled up by him.

In summer 2002, the German second division club Karlsruher SC undertook the defender. Eggimann was also captain of the Swiss U- 21 team. On September 7, 2007, he first played for the senior national team and was also the preliminary squad for the Euro 2008, but was not nominated at the end of this tournament.
