Marion Lüttge

Marion Lüttge, born Grafe ( born November 25, 1941 in Leipzig ) is a former German athlete who had - starting for the GDR - belonged in the 1960s to the best javelin throwers.

Marion Lüttge was only chemistry skilled worker, then formed but continued to sports teacher. In 1963 she married the hammer thrower Friedrich Lüttge, the brother of shot putter Johanna Lüttge.

It was in 1962, 1963 and 1966 DDR champion in the javelin. Marion Lüttge presented on three East German records in the javelin throw, the last on September 2, 1966, her personal best of 59.70 meters in the qualifying at the European Championships in Budapest.
