Marius Pena

Marius George Pena (born 2 May 1985 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football player. The striker is since January 2013 when FK Baku in the Azerbaijan Premyer Liqasi under contract.

Career

The career of Pena began at FC Naţional Bucharest, where he at the age of 14 years in the first team squad, but only on 24 May 2003 on its first use in the highest Romanian league, the Divizia A, came. In the summer of 2003, he moved to Torpedo Moscow in the Russian Premjer League, but soon returned to Romania. There he first played in the second team of Rapid Bucharest in Divizia C before the summer of 2004 came in the reserve of Rapid Bucharest, who played in Divizia B. There, he fought his way to a regular place in 2005 and moved in January 2006 to ambitious Premier League rivals CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea. With his new club, he missed the intended climb.

In the summer of 2006, Pena Râmnicu Vâlcea left again already and joined CS Concordia Chiajna to. First, where he rose to the Liga II, before he succeeded there in the season 2007/ 08 17 goals and finished fifth with his team. Thus he was given the opportunity to switch to first division Oţelul Galaţi. He held a regular place of beginning, but could not repeat his success rate. His most successful season he played 2010/11, as he contributed eight goals to win the championship. In the Champions League match against FC Basel he achieved the first goal of his team. In January 2013 he moved to FK Baku in Azerbaijan.
