Markvartice (Děčín District)

Markvartice ( German marker village) is a village in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-east of Kamenice in the north of the Bohemian Uplands.

Geography

The elongated Waldhufendorf is part of yourself nad Ploučnicí to Kerhartice together in ranks of Benešov chain of villages in the valley of the brook Bystrá ( Absbach ). To the north rises the Olešský vrch (Beck Mountain, 355 m), in the northeast of Ptáčník ( Vogelsberg, 353 m) and Strážný vrch (405 m ) east of the Veselka (Freudenberg, 460 m), in the southeast of Vysoký les ( 464 m) and Skalka (310 m), the southwest Dobrná ( Doberner mountain, 531 m) and in the west of the Svážný (416 m) and Jámy ( Parlosaberg, 452 m).

Neighboring towns are Lužná and Janská in the north, Víska pod Lesy in the northeast, Veselé, Veselíčko 1.díl and Kerhartice in the east, Karlovka and Malá Bukovina in the south, Horni Habartice the southwest, Brložec, Františkův Vrch and Huntířov in the west and Stara Oleška in the northwest.

History

The 1281 first mentioned place Marquardi villa was part of the rule Scharfstein and was divided in the 15th century between different landowners. Parts of the village were part of the celebrations Untermarkersdorf, the Rotenhof and the Lords of Luttitz to Freudenberg.

In Freudenberger share Obermarkersdorf the Favoritenhof emerged, also called computational Berghof and the Hirschhof. In the Berni rula the Favoritenhof were second portion and the Hirschhof called as a marker village as a marker village 4 share.
