Marley Marl

Marley Marl ( born September 30, 1962 in Queens, New York City as Marlon Williams) is an American music producer and DJ.

Biography

Marley Marl grew up in Queensbridge, a social focal points in New York, on. He also produced for rappers like Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shanté, Kool G Rap, MC Shan and Masta Ace and King Tee and LL Cool J.

He also produced the first hits My Melody and Eric B is President Eric B Rakim and in which he mixed James Brown samples and synthetic beats in a hitherto unknown way. Marley Marl was one of the pioneers of sampling in hip- hop. He was a member of the legendary Juice Crew and co-founder of the music label Cold Chillin ' Records. He also produced together with KRS -One Album Hip Hop lives.
