Marmirolo
Marmirolo is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7850 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Mantua in Lombardy. The community is located about seven kilometers north-northwest of Mantua at the Parco del Mincio. It is immediately adjacent to the province of Verona.
History
The village was first mentioned in documents in 970 AD. In 1055 it comes under the rule of Mantua and how around the Gonzaga family ruled.
Traffic
Marmirolo Located on the Strada Statale 236 from Brescia to Mantova. The railway line Mantua - Peschiera del Garda is now just as the train station of Marmirolo shut down (since 1967).
Community partnership
Marmirolo maintains an intra- Italian partnership with the municipality of Massa Lombarda in the province of Ravenna.
