Marmot Iceland is the easternmost island of the Kodiak Archipelago in the Gulf of Alaska, Alaska, United States of America. The island is assigned to the Kodiak Borough Iceland and is situated next to Afognak Iceland. It is 45.20 km ² and is uninhabited.

The name Marmot Iceland, which translates to " Marmot Island " means, the island of the many living on their gopher - gophers. The ambiguous island name dates back to a translation error American cartographer from the Russian name " Yevrashka " for ground squirrel into English.
