José Martín Cáceres Silva ( born April 7, 1987 in Montevideo) is an Uruguayan football player.

Career
Association
Martín Cáceres, who grew up in Sayago, began his career in his native Uruguayan Defensor Sporting. There he first played in the youth team. In 2006 he made his debut in the match against Cerro in the discharged at the Estadio Luis Troccoli game in the Primera División. On August 20, 2006, he met then the victory over Penarol of Uruguay for the first time in the highest league. At age 19 he was already captain.
Villarreal
In summer 2007, he moved to Spanish side Villarreal. There, he signed a five-year contract. On 7 August 2009 Martín Cáceres joined on loan for one year for Italian giants Juventus. Juve had an option the defender after the loan for an uncommitted sum weiterverpflichten. Sevilla FC
However, Cáceres was immediately loaned back and played in the 2010/11 season for FC Sevilla. He graduated in 37 games this season for Sevilla and scored two goals. Sevilla had a bargain purchase option, which was also drawn in May 2011. Cáceres signed a new contract until 30 June 2015.
Return to Turin
After only one and a half years, Martin Caceres went on loan back to his former employers Juventus. The Italians were doing a call option on the basis of a transfer fee in the amount of eight million euros.
In his first game for the Bianconeri in the Coppa Italia match against AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in the Uruguayan scored both goals in a 2-1 victory. For the 2012/13 season Cáceres was finally firmly committed. He signed a four-year contract until 30 June 2016. Turin he graduated since his return until the end of 2012/ 13 29 games in Serie A, where he scored two goals. At the end of the season he celebrated with his team winning the Italian championship. In the current 2013/14 season he came into the league until his last mission provisionally on March 9, 2014 nine times to train. Martín Cáceres made his debut in the U -20 team of Uruguay in the U-20 South American Championship 2007 in Paraguay, where he finished in third place with Uruguay. He participated with Uruguay's U-20 national team at the Junior World Championships 2007 in Canada, in which the team failed to the U.S. in the second round. He is said to have eleven internationals completed ( no goals ) for the U -20.
On 12 September 2007 Caceres celebrated against the South African national team in Johannesburg his debut in the Uruguayan national team. In 2010 he was part of the squad of Uruguay to the discharged in South Africa World Cup. Here he was in both the semi-final against the Netherlands and in the 3rd place match against the German national soccer team in the starting lineup.
