Martin Mrva

Mrva Martin ( born December 12, 1971 in Prešov ) is a Slovak chess master and chess journalist.

In 2005 he was awarded the grandmaster title. Maník played four times ( in 1994, 1996, 2000 and 2004 ) for the national team of Slovakia at the Chess Olympiad, where he scored 14.5 points from 27 games. In the Championships of Slovakia in 1988 in Trnava he has the silver medal, brought a year later in Michalovce gold. Mrva won in 1993 with the First Saturday tournament in Budapest. He won in 1997 Tatry Open in Tatranská Lomnica. Mrva won in 2004 in Piešťany and shared in 2005 with Josef Přibyl first place in the Tatry Open in Tatranské Zruby.

Mrva is editor of the chess magazine Šach Revue and also has the chess web portals operated www.64.sk and www.c7c5.com. Mrva also has the CD Učim sa Hrat Sach ( I'm learning the game of chess ) is created.
