Mathis Mootz
Panacea is the most famous artist name of the German drum -and- bass producer and DJ Mathis Mootz ( born August 18, 1976 in Wetzlar ). Mootz also published under the pseudonyms Bad Street Boy, Kate Mosh, m², Radar, Rich Kid and Warfare.
According to classical music training, years of membership in the wind Bacher Boys Choir as a first soprano, training at the Audio Engineering School, he worked as a freelance producer and DJ since 1997. Already with his first LP "Low Profile Darkness" Panacea caused due to the cymbals quite a stir in the Drum and Bass scene.
He is regarded as the most important artist of the Frankfurt Mille Plateaux sub-labels - Position Chrome that counted in this area to the more influential in Germany and an important representative of a new form of drum and bass, the influences of Hardcore Techno, Industrial and Noise recorded. Mathis Mootz also works with Limewax under the name Goldberg Variations.
