Matt Freije

Matthew Wayne " Matt" Freije ( born October 2, 1981 in Overland Park, Kansas ) is a Lebanese- American basketball player.

Freije is 2,06 m tall and 108 kg and plays the position of power forward. He start his athletic career at Vanderbilt University. In the 2004 NBA Draft he was selected at No. 53 by the Miami Heat and then played for the New Orleans Hornets and the Atlanta Hawks. He then moved to Puerto Rico to Brujos de Guayama.

From October to December 2007 he was the German Bundesliga Artland Dragons under contract when he replaced the injured Rich Melzer.
