Matthias Biedermann

Matthias Biedermann ( born January 28, 1983 in Dresden ) is a retired German Skeleton driver and now coach.

Matthias Biedermann 's Sports Soldier Skeleton and operates since 2001. He starts for the SSV Altenberg. Biedermann began his international career already as a junior. He participated in several junior world championships. 2003 in Koenigssee, he was behind Frank Kleber, 2005 in Winterberg behind Michi Halilovic and 2006 in Igls behind Alexander Tretyakov Junior Vice World Champion. In Senior World Championships he reached in 2004 in Koenigssee the tenth and 2005 in Calgary the 16th Place. At the 2004 European Championships in Altenberg, he was the ninth, a year later he won the bronze medal at the same place behind Kristan Bromley and Frank adhesive.

In German championships Biedermann, after a third place in 2004 in the following year German champion and 2006 fourth. After an initial phase in the European Cup, he started for the first time in early 2004 in the World Cup. In Lillehammer, he finished 17th in Igls At the next start he finished tenth. Best finish was a second place behind Duff Gibson in 2005 in Cesana.

Biedermann was by Dietmar Jarosch ( athletics, previously Enrico Bauer) trained and Dirk Grundmann (national coach ). After his playing career, he was himself Skeleton coach. Among other things, he is responsible for the European Champion and overall World Cup winner in 2010 and 2011, Martins Dukurs.
