Medhi Lacen

Medhi Gregory Giuseppe Lacen (Arabic مدحي لحسن, DMG Mahdi Laḥsan; born March 15, 1984 in Paris ) is a French -born Algerian football player. Since the 2011/12 season, the defensive midfielder is in the first Spanish League with FC Getafe under contract.

Career

Medhi Lacen was born in France, an Algerian father and his mother is from Italy. He began his career in the youth from FC Versailles, after which he played for Stade Laval. There he also completed his debut in the first team in 2003. However, he later changed just a year to ASOA Valence. There he was able to won a regular place, but also where he played only one year. In 2005 he moved to Deportivo Alavés. He made ​​his debut on 15 October 2005 in a 1-1 draw against Villarreal. After three years, for the Basques, he moved on 15 August 2008 to Racing Santander, where he signed a three-year contract.

National

As an Algerian father, he also had the opportunity for the Algerian national football team to play. In 2006 he was nominated by coach Jean -Michel Cavalli for the friendly match against Gabon, where he did not, however, was used.

On December 12, 2009, the President of the Algerian Football Federation announced that Lacen would be in the squad for the African Cup of 2010 in Angola. But just five days later, announced the head coach Rabah Saâdane that Lacen because of the pregnancy of his wife did not want to participate in the competition.

His international debut, he finally gave up on 3 March 2010 in a 0-3 defeat in a friendly match against Serbia.
