Meineweh

Meineweh (until 31 July 2011: South Anhalt ) is a municipality in Burgenland District (Saxony -Anhalt).

History

The parish was formed on 1 January 2010 from the voluntary association of municipalities Meineweh, Pretzschendorf and Unterkaka.

The merger took place against the background of the municipal reform in Saxony- Anhalt and the accompanying law laid down in the minimum number of 1000 inhabitants in municipalities that belong to a community association.

The community Meineweh belongs to the municipality Wethautal.

After the citizens, repeatedly showed dissatisfied with the name Anhalt South of the newly formed community that has no relation to the historic country Anhalt, it was renamed on August 1, 2011 in Meineweh.

Policy

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 30 March 2012 by the county. It was designed by the Magdeburg Kommunalheraldiker Jörg Mantzsch.

Blazon: " Argent, a red rose, in the three- pass sullied with three green ginkgo leaves and accompanied by two green ears of corn. "

The colors of the municipality Meineweh are green - white.

The districts Meineweh as well Unterkaka have legitimate coat of arms, which have lost their status as national emblems, but they remain out of the places as symbols of communal identity and self-expression. It was desire of the new community Meineweh to link the symbolism of the coat of arms crest leading places with the assistance of the relevance to Pretzschendorf. Furthermore, the fusion of the three places should find a representation of the coat of arms. The heraldic reaction was carried out by selected the Ginko leaf from the arms of Meineweh and was placed representative in the three- pass for the three districts. Center forms the blossoming rose with reference to the insignia of Unterkaka, the rose was now represented as heraldic (not natural ) Rose. The two ears of corn that are not specific cereal, lean against the farming village Pretzschendorf with its agriculture.

Flag

The flag of the municipality Meineweh is green - white (1:1) striped ( cross- shape: strips horizontally extending, longitudinal shape: strip running vertically ) and centrally occupied with the municipal coat of arms.
