Meir ( norwegian 'more' ) is the second studio album by the Norwegian rock band Kvelertak. It was released on March 25, 2013 in Sony Music Scandinavia Scandinavia, on Roadrunner Records worldwide and Indie Recordings on record.

Formation and style

The style of the album was outlined with " Turbonegro meets Black Metal". It was produced as the predecessor of Kurt Ballou of Converge. It was recorded in mid-2012 in the GodCity Studios in Salem, Massachusetts. The cover illustration is by John Dyer Baizley of Baroness. Three music videos were released to Bruane burning, Manelyst and the song Kvelertak.

Reception

In the magazine Rock Hard Meir was album of the month. Boris Kaiser wrote that one of the band it should not be blamed for that they are not re- invent the album, "because it's certainly not in the ' Hello, here we are! ' Phase of her career. " He forgave eight of ten points. In Metal Hammer awarded Petra Schurer six of seven points. She wrote, would take Kvelertak " the Proven and build it with feeling and with great attention to detail further. ( ...) More Thin Lizzy, Turbonegro less, you could bring it to the point.
