Meknès-Tafilalet

Meknès- Tafilalet (Arabic مكناس تافيلالت ) is one of the 16 regions of Morocco and is located in the north of the kingdom. In the entire area of Meknes -Tafilalet lived in the 2004 Census 2,141,527 people on a total area of ​​79,210 km ². For 2010 the number of inhabitants was calculated with 2,288,807. The capital city is Meknes.

Other major cities are from north to south: Moulay Idris, Azrou and Khénifra northwest of the Middle Atlas, Midelt middle of the Atlas mountains, and Errachidia, Erfoud and Rissani on the edge of the Sahara.
