Měkynec

Měkynec ( German Mikienetz, also Miekinetz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north-west of Bavorov in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Měkynec lies in the valley of the brook Měkynecký creek in the foothills of the Bohemian Forest. To the north, the Varta rises (536 m), in the northeast of Hanžlů vršek (538 m) and the Kráseka ( 555 m ) east of the Hrad ( 667 m), the South East Neděliště (602 m), Ovčárky (593 m) and the oVCE ( 583 m ) south of the Jezvina ( 582 m) in the southwest of Malošín ( 683 m) with the ruins Helfenburk, the Velky Sibak ( 687 m) and Baba ( 654 m ) west of the Duškovec (656 m) and in the northwest the Skalka (620 m) and the Chmelovka ( 639 m). In the West, the forest area extends Mlaka. The center of the village is a large pond on the village square.

Neighboring towns are Kváskovice and Záluží in the north, and Chrást Pivkovice in the northeast, Bílsko in the east, and Budyně Utesov the southeast, Krajníčko in the south, and Koječín Jiřetice in the southwest, and Čepřovice Ovčín in the west and Střítež and Skály in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Měkynec took place in 1334, as Margarethe von Rosenberg, the Bavors III widow. overwrote of Strakonitz, a part of the rule Bavorov with the town and 24 villages Bavorov her brother Peter I. von Rosenberg. In 1840 Miekinetz / Měkinec consisted of 31 houses with 240 Czech-speaking inhabitants. The village was the site of a stately court for the villages Miekinetz, Kranitz, Saluschy ( Záluží ) and Autieschow ( Utesov ). Vicarage was Blsko. Until the mid-19th century Miekinetz the Allodialherrschaft Nettolitz together with the Good Barau always remained subservient.

After the abolition of patrimonial Měkynec / Miekinetz formed in 1850 with the district Krajníčko a municipality in the district team Pisek and the jurisdiction Vodňany. 1907 Krajníčko broke off and formed its own community. During the construction of the Okres Vodňany Měkynec 1949 and was assigned to this after its repeal in 1960, part of the Okres Strakonice. On April 1, 1967, the annexation took place after Bílsko. Since November 24, 1990 Měkynec again forms a separate municipality.
