Melkite Greek Catholic Eparchy of Newton
The Eparchy of Newton (Latin: Eparchia Neotoniensis Graecorum Melkitarum ) is a location in the U.S. eparchy of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, headquartered in Boston's Roslindale.
History
The Eparchy of Newton was born on January 10, 1966 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Apostolic Exarchate as Byzantini Melkitarum United States for the Melkite faithful. The Apostolic Exarchate of United States for the Melkite faithful was posted on June 28, 1976 by Paul VI. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Cum apostolicum for Eparchy Eparchy of Newton and renamed.
