The Lindley- Mentzelie ( Mentzelia lindleyi ) is a species of the genus Mentzelia in the family of flowers nettle plants ( Loasaceae ).

Features

The Lindley- Mentzelie is an annual plant that reaches the plant height of 15 to 60 centimeters. The 2-3 ( 4) flowers are on a stem. They open in the evening. The 5 petals are golden yellow with orange-red base, obovate to nearly ovate, apiculate and have a length of 2 to 4 centimeters.

Bloom time is from July to August.

Occurrence

The Lindley- Mentzelie comes in California on sunny rocky slopes.

Use

The Lindley- Mentzelie is rarely used as an ornamental plant for Freilandsukkulentenbeete.
