Mepivacaine is a drug for local anesthesia ( local anesthetic ).

Application

Mepivacaine is mainly used for infiltration and conduction anesthesia. In the field of local anesthesia is often used for peripheral nerve blocks. It has a rapid onset of action and a duration of between 1.5 and 3 hours.
