Meppel–Groningen railway

The railway line Meppel - Groningen, also Staatslijn C, is a two-track, electrified main line in the Netherlands and connects via Meppel and Hoogeveen Assen Groningen.

The approximately 77 -kilometer-long railway line is one of the most important railway lines in the north of the Netherlands.

History

The track was released on May 1, 1870 for traffic. The entire line was electrified in 1952. The top speed on the track is 140 km / h
