Geography
The place is situated on a hilltop in the Thuringian Slate Mountains above the Weidatalsperre. Adjacent communities include the city of Auma Weidatal and White village. Remember to include the village is my finished Piesigitz place.
History
1324 Remember village was first as Myrkindorf (mixed name, contains a Slavic name ) mentioned. Until the construction of Weidatalsperre to the place were three mills, at the books mill Pisselsmühle and the wood mill, all located on the Weida. The village had the right to brew beer.
Until January 3, 1996 Remember village was a member of the administrative community Weidatal, the community then belonged to the administrative community Auma Weidatal. On 1 December 2011 Remember village was incorporated into Zeulenroda.
Religions
Since the Reformation, the place is known for the Evangelical- Lutheran. Ecclesiastical is one of the place to the parish Göhren in the Evangelical Church in Central Germany.

Blazon: Split; front in silver on a lowered blue wave bar a blue vierspeichiges mill wheel; the back of a red slumped silver sword, on the left side in the middle accompanied by a silver chalice.
Remember village and the district Piesigitz have a common crest. The right half of the coat of arms shows a water wheel and a creek and symbolizes the three water mills of the place. The creek is the slurry stream that flows below the village in the present Weidatalsperre. The left half shows a blade and chalice, symbols of Saint Barbara, the patron saint of Piesigitz below Remember village.
Culture
A village fair of regional importance is the every 2 years in summer held Remember Brühtrogrennen villages, in which a route must be overcome through the village ponds using Brühtrögen.
