Messberg (Hamburg U-Bahn station)

Metro Station Meßberg is a tunnel station of Hamburg U -Bahn line U1 in the southern city center of Hamburg.

History

The stop Meßberg was put into operation after five years of construction on 22 February 1960. With it, a new section of the Hamburg U -Bahn was the first time after the Second World War finished. For about seven months ended the trains from ox inches in Meßberg, because only in October 1960, the continuation of the path over stone road was opened to the main train station.

Originally, the station should include four tracks: in addition to today's U1 south of the existing facilities should also keep a scheduled Elbrandlinie Meßberg. The station was constructed in accordance with that further expansion was possible.

Construction

The station is located in two lowland. Meßberg has a central platform to which is connected on both sides of outputs. Lead you into a vestibule, from which there are several exits to the surface, respectively.
