MetaComCo

The portable TRIPOS operating system kernel, originally developed at the University of Cambridge and written in BCPL was provided by Dr. Tim King commercial about the company MetaComCo, Ltd.. (Bristol, England ) markets.

From this emerged, among other things, the DOS component of the AmigaOS. For this platform, and the BASIC interpreter was ABASIC of MetaComCo developed, but did not achieve any practical significance, as well as various tools (editor, assembler ) and compiler ( BCPL, C, Pascal ).

Later, King, who is also the father of the Atari ST BASIC ( ST BASIC) known developed transputer operating systems ( Helios, HOS) at Perihelion Software Ltd..
