TRIPOS

TRIPOS ( Trivial Portable Operating System ) was an operating system that was developed at the University of Cambridge and has been programmed in BCPL. Both the kernel and the device drivers are written in assembly language.

The AmigaDOS - a component of AmigaOS - also based on TRIPOS. The portable TRIPOS kernel was adapted by Tim King at AmigaDOS, the rights of commercial exploitation of TRIPOS in the company MetaComCo, Ltd.. earned.
