Metin AktaÅŸ

Metin Aktas ( born August 1, 1977 in Akçaabat ) is a former Turkish football goalkeeper.

Playing career

Association

Aktas started playing football in youth his home club Akçaabat Sebatspor. From here, he joined in the summer of 1993 in the youth by Turkish club Trabzonspor tradition. Here he received a professional contract in the summer of 1995, but was still used only one and a half years in the reserve team. For the second half of the season 1996/97 he was accepted by the newly hired coach Yılmaz Vural into the professional squad. His professional debut was here on March 23, 1997, a Erstligabegegnung against Kocaelispor. By the end of the season he came up with eight league games. The years that followed he won again and again the position of the root goalkeeper, but lost it after all. Nevertheless, he played a total of seven seasons for Trabzonspor and managed by convincing services temporarily in the Turkish national football team. For the 2002/03 season the Black Sea club won the Australian goalkeeper Michael Petkovic. This knew from the beginning to persuade and made ​​sure that Aktas came across the 2002/ 03 only at a Cup encounter for use. At season's end Aktas could win with the Trabzonspor Turkish Football Cup and goodbye with this title by his club.

For the new season, he moved to his now playing in the Super Lig club home Akçaabat Sebatspor. After just one season he left the club and was hired by Kayserispor on. The following year he played at several clubs in the Süper Lig and the TFF 1 Lig

For the season 2010/11 he moved to the TFF Lig 2 to Şanlıurfaspor and moved to half a season to Adana Demirspor on. With this club he reached the end of the 2010 /11 Relegation phase of the second Lig and missed here in the last instance the rise in the TFF 1 Lig A season later succeeded in rising above the relegation victory. With this success Aktas ended his career.

National

Aktas ran 19 times on Turkish U -21 national team. He and his team took the first time in history the Association at a U -21 Football Championship, U-21 Championship in 2000, in part. Here one difference however already in the group stage.

In the period from 2000 to 2003 he played three times for the Turkish national team and was often employed as a substitute keeper.
