Metin Erol

Erol Metin ( born January 24, 1987 in İzmit ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper who currently plays for TKI Tavşanlı Linyitspor.

Career

Erol began with the club football in the youth of Yeniköy Belediyespor and in 2002 in the youth of Kocaelispor. In the summer of 2006 he was awarded a professional contract here, but played exclusively for the reserve team. To enable him match practice in a professional league, he was loaned for the second half of the season 2006/07 Gölcükspor and for the entire 2007/2008 season at Orhangazi Gençlerbirliği. The next season he stayed with Kocaelispor and played end of the season in two Erstligapartien. After Kocaelispor end of the season missed the league, Erol remained in the squad and was promoted to regulars. Kocaelispor ran into huge financial difficulties and was provided with a transfer ban imposed by the national association. Benefiting from these circumstances remained Erol continue goalkeeper. After Kocaelispor gerat summer 2011 even deeper into a hopeless financial situation, the club was renamed Körfezspor Körfez FK and regarded as the unofficial successor Kocaelispors.
