Mežica

Mežica ( German: Mießdorf ) is a municipality in the region Carinthian, Slovenia

In the group consisting of six villages overall community Mežica live about 3836 inhabitants. It is located in Mežatal in the Slovenian Alps near the border with Austria. In the former lead and zinc mine, which was shut down in 1994, now a museum. You can see the mountain Peca ( 2125 m) is also a large collection of minerals and fossils.
