Micah Richards

Micah Lincoln Richards ( * June 24, 1988 in Birmingham ) is an English footballer who plays for Manchester City in defense since 2005. It can be used in central defense, as a right-back or in defensive midfield.
Career
Association
As a child, Richards played for the Leeds City Boys. Scouts took notice of his talent early on. At the age of twelve, he finally moved to Oldham Athletic. Only one year later, in 2001, he was transferred to Manchester City. Oldham secured itself an 20 % on the resale of the defender. For the Citizens Richards went through to 2005, the youth teams before he was taken in summer 2005 in the senior squad. On October 22, he finally gave then his debut against Arsenal, when he came on. For the first time over 90 minutes on the pitch he was on February 12, 2006 against Charlton Athletic. From there he won a regular place and finished the season as the "Best young player of the association of the season 2005/ 06 " is selected. After other clubs now showed interest in the youngster, he signed on 25 July 2006 a new four -year contract at Manchester. Good performances always followed better performance. So Richards was named in August 2007 "Player of the Month" in the Premier League. His debut for the English national team, he was on 15 November 2006 against the Netherlands. At this point, Richards graduated only 28 appearances for his club team. Due to the injury to Gary Neville slipped the talented defender in the starting lineup of the team. This he solved Rio Ferdinand from as recent used defender in the national team.
