Micah Richards

Micah Lincoln Richards ( * June 24, 1988 in Birmingham ) is an English footballer who plays for Manchester City in defense since 2005. It can be used in central defense, as a right-back or in defensive midfield.

Career

Association

As a child, Richards played for the Leeds City Boys. Scouts took notice of his talent early on. At the age of twelve, he finally moved to Oldham Athletic. Only one year later, in 2001, he was transferred to Manchester City. Oldham secured itself an 20 % on the resale of the defender. For the Citizens Richards went through to 2005, the youth teams before he was taken in summer 2005 in the senior squad. On October 22, he finally gave then his debut against Arsenal, when he came on.
