Michael Bisping ( born February 28, 1979 in Cyprus as Michael Gavin Joseph Bisping ) is a British mixed martial arts fighter.

Sportlerische career

Bisping began his MMA career in 2004 at the event Pride & Glory 2 - Battle of the Ages as a heavyweight. After further victories in the UK Mixed Martial Arts Championship, with Cage Rage, CWFC and FX3, he was 2006 winner of the third season of The Ultimate Fighter of the organizer Ultimate Fighting Championship. Since then, he appears regularly on at UFC events. In November 2007, he suffered against Rashad Evans his first defeat and moved on to the middleweight division. Even against Dan Henderson and Wanderlei Silva, he lost. His victory against Denis Kang in November 2009 was elected to the Fight of the Night. Bispings battle balance sheet amounted to September 22, 2012 eleven wins and three defeats in the UFC and 22 wins and three defeats in total.
