Michael Duff (footballer)

Michael Duff ( born January 11, 1978 in Belfast ) is a Northern Irish footballer who is currently active for Burnley. He can play both in central defense and in the right side defense.

Career

After he was discovered in 1994 by a scout from Cheltenham, Michael Duff graduated from the youth academy of the club. For seven years he was then the undisputed master player at Whaddon Road. He was able in 2002 to celebrate his debut in the national team through his consistent performance. He could now participate in the prestigious victories over England and Spain.

For £ 30,000, he returned Cheltenham the back and came out in the summer of 2004 to Burnley. He established himself in the following years as an integral part of the club.
