Michael Umaña (2006)

Michael Umaña Corrales (born 16 July 1982 Santa Ana, Costa Rica ) is a Costa Rican football player.

The defender started his career with AD Carmelita, moving in 2003 to the CS Herediano and 2005 in the U.S. Major League Soccer with the Los Angeles Galaxy. However, the exposure to the U.S. was anything but successful for him, so he returned again in 2006 to Costa Rica and from then on played for Brujas FC.

Umaña went through in Costa Rica already various youth national teams and was also a member of the team at the 2004 Olympic Games.

He has until May 19, 2006, denied 16 caps for Costa Rica and also belonged to the squad for the World Cup 2006.
