Michèle Jacot

Michèle Jacot ( born January 5, 1952 in Le Pont -de- Beauvoisin ) is a French former alpine skier.

She won in her career ten World Cup races, including a departure, six giant slalom and slalom races three. In 1970, she won the overall World Cup and the World Cup in slalom discipline. Jacot has remained the only Frenchwoman who was the overall World Cup winner.

Her biggest success in A matches they celebrated at the World Ski Championships 1970 in Val Gardena, as she became world champion in the combination. In slalom, she also won the bronze medal behind Ingrid Lafforgue and Barbara Ann Cochran.

After she had to let the entire 1972/73 season canceled due to an injury, she was unable to build on their previous performance. An exception was the World Ski Championships 1974 in St. Moritz, where she won the silver medal in the slalom behind Hanni Wenzel.

From 1970 to 1976 Jacot was three times French Champion, twice in the combination and once in the slalom.
