Ahmed Hossam Hussein Abdelamid (Arabic أحمد حسام, DMG Husam Ahmad, born February 23, 1983 in Cairo ), more commonly known as Mido, is an Egyptian football player. He is a striker and currently stands at Barnsley FC under contract, after he had previously been active for Ajax Amsterdam and Zamalek SC.

He made a name for himself in 2002 when he was African young player of the year. His debut in the Egyptian national football team he played against the United Arab Emirates, where he won 2-1 with Egypt.
