Mihtarlam District

The district Mitharlam (also Metharlam, Methar Lam, Mitharlam, Mihterlam written ) in Laghman has 24 large and 269 small villages. It is located in the center Laghmans, and here is also the provincial capital Mihtarlam. Mihtarlam derives its name from Mihtarlam Baba, who was allegedly the father of Prophet Noah. It borders the province of Kabul to the west, to the districts in the north Alishing and Alingar un Quarghaee the district in the south.
